Daniel Macdonald is the co-founder and clinical director of Pottsville & Cabarita Physiotherapy, established in 2006. He holds an Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Sports Physiotherapy title — making him the only APA-titled Sports Physiotherapist in the Tweed Coast region.
With more than 25 years of clinical experience, including work with elite athletes, Daniel brings a high standard of injury diagnosis, rehabilitation and performance management to every patient — regardless of age or ability level.
Daniel developed the clinic’s ‘Pain to Performance’ model, which underpins all treatment at Pottsville & Cabarita Physiotherapy. This framework takes patients from acute pain through to full performance — not just symptom relief.
Daniel’s approach is built around precise diagnosis and a clear treatment pathway. He uses cutting-edge video movement analysis technology alongside hands-on clinical assessment to identify the root cause of pain and dysfunction — not just its symptoms.
The ‘Pain to Performance’ model he developed provides patients with certainty: a defined roadmap that outlines what is wrong, what will be done about it, how long recovery will take and what is expected at each stage.
Daniel has a firm hands-on policy — every patient receives direct, individual attention during their appointment. He draws on his experience working with elite athletes to apply the highest standard of care to every presentation.
