Hi, I’m Karina…
I grew up in Brisbane before heading over to the UK in my early 20s, where I met my now husband and we started our family. In 2022, we made the move back to Australia to be closer to my parents and settled here on the Tweed Coast.
I’m passionate about making sure you feel supported and have a genuinely positive experience when you visit our clinics. I see a lot of gardening-related injuries come through (it’s more dangerous than people think!), and I love being part of a team that supports clients to recover and get back to doing the things they enjoy.
For me, the key to long-term recovery is consistency and keeping your body moving. One of the most inspiring parts of my work is seeing patients in their 60s, 70s and 80s showing up regularly and prioritising their health — it’s a great reminder of what’s possible when you stay active.
Outside of work, I love listening to and playing music, reading, and spending time with my husband, kids and our dog — usually with a walk along the beach somewhere in the mix. I studied music at university and am also a qualified yoga teacher, which is something not everyone knows about me.

What I love most about working at Pottsville & Cabarita Physiotherapy is the team and our clients. We’re a friendly bunch who genuinely care, and we pride ourselves on creating dedicated, personalised treatment plans for every individual.
If you’re feeling nervous about booking in, please don’t be — we’re here to help you feel comfortable, supported, and on the right path. And if you’re unsure whether you need physio, my advice is not to wait — getting things checked early can make a big difference and often prevents small issues from becoming bigger ones. From personal experience, physio has been the thing that’s helped me recover from injuries and given me the tools to prevent them from happening again. It might not always be a quick fix, but it’s absolutely worth the time and effort.
