Lauren Peters Physiotherapist treats running injuries, sports injuries and dizziness

Hi, I’m Lauren

I’ve been working as a physiotherapist for almost five years now, originally practicing in

Brisbane before recently making the move down the coast to enjoy a life by the beach. At

home, I live with my partner and our two-year-old Border Collie, Nelly who keeps us on our toes.

In the clinic, I absolutely love treating sports-related injuries, particularly those around

running-based sports and paddling. Whether you’re a weekend runner, a team sport athlete, or training for your next big event. I love helping people understand their injury, address the underlying cause, and build strength so you can return stronger than before.

For me, it’s not just about addressing your pain, it’s about improving your performance,

preventing re-injury, and helping you feel confident in your body again.

Alongside my passion of running related injuries I also have a special interest in treating

dizziness. Supporting patients with BPPV or vestibular hypofunction is something I find

incredibly rewarding. Dizziness can be really unsettling and impact day-to-day life more than

people realise. I love being able to assess, treat, and guide people through specific

rehabilitation strategies that restore balance and confidence. Seeing someone go from feeling

unsure and off-balance to steady and secure again is one of the most satisfying parts of my job.

I’m also a clinical Pilates instructor, which allows me to incorporate tailored Pilates-based

rehabilitation into my treatment plans. I’m very particular about technique and I want everyone to feel confident that they are doing it right. Pilates is amazing for improving control, strength, and movement quality to support both recovery and long-term health.

I strongly believe in taking a holistic approach to physiotherapy. The body isn’t just what we can see physically but it also encompasses our mental wellbeing, stress levels, lifestyle, and overall load. These all play a role in how we feel and how we heal.

Outside of work, I love being outdoors. Whether it’s walking Nelly, hiking, spending time at the beach relaxing or surfing if the sun is out, so am I. I also love snow sports so if there is any chance I can get to be in the snow I will be there on my snowboard. If you have met me you know I’m always up for a chat and genuinely enjoy getting to know the people I work with. My favourite part about being a physio is that I get to help people get back to the things they love.

At the end of the day, I feel incredibly lucky to do a job where I get to help people move better, feel stronger, and get back to doing what they love. I am so grateful to be a physio, it is something I dreamed of being since I was in primary school and I still pinch myself everyday that I am doing it.

I look forward to meeting you!
