Group Clinical Exercise and Pilates Fitness Programs

Exercising at Pottsville Physiotherapy is DIFFERENT. We offer a variety of choices to suit everybody’s needs:

Group Clinical Exercise sessions which are run by a Physiotherapist and attract a private health fund rebate. These classes require an assessment with the Physiotherapist who then designs a program of exercises (which may include  Pilates style exercises as well as other exercises) based specifically on your body’s needs.

Fitness Pilates: Reformer, Booty, Fusion, Better Back, Functional Fitness, SurfFIT, yoga, barre and more classes that are run by Pilates Instructors and do not attract a private health fund rebate.

Exercising with a Physio or Exercise Physiologist is a safe and effective form of exercise that:

  • increases core strength and stability,
  • increases general strength, tones and elongates the body
  • improves posture and alignment,
  • improves flexibility,
  • improves endurance,
  • increases body awareness,
  • improves balance and co-ordination and
  • reduces risk of injury

Our method of exercise is a focused, controlled program for the whole body. It is a safe and effective way to get into shape or compliment the management of an injury. We use specialised Pilates equipment  as well as other equipment combined with expert, attentive instruction to get faster results.

Our Physios are skilled in rehabilitating clients from injury to normal function  and helping you achieve your health, fitness and lifestyle goals.

Better Back Class
We now offer a Physio designed program to create a better back!  The class is a fusion of Clinical Pilates, functional training and myofascial release.  This amazing class is run by Physios and will result in a strong stable spine, strong core,  enhanced mobility and flexibility.  All participants receive a FREE ebook and home exercises.
Maximum of 6 people in each class
 Group Clinical Exercise
  • you are individually assessed and a program is customised to your needs

Reformer Classes
  • We offer a variety of Reformer classes (foundation, burn, fusion, booty…)
  • Fun and innovative Pilates choreography
  • Performed on the allogro 2 reformers
  • The classes  are designed to increase strength, fitness, flexibility and vitality
  • Full body class programs
  • Not suitable for people with an injury
  • 50 min session

Functional Fitness
  • Not suitable for people with an injury
  • Mix of reformer, surfset, bosu and suspension training
  • 50 minute session

Surf Performance Circuit
  • Surf specific exercises: mix of reformer, bosu, surf set, rip 60 etc for strength, core, balance, rotation power, fitness and flexibility
  • Not suitable for people with an injury
  • 50 minute session
